In QuotedData’s morning briefing 15 August 2022:

  • Seraphim Space (SSIT) holding D-Orbit, a market leader in space logistics and orbital transportation services, and Breeze Holdings have mutually agreed to terminate their previously announced merger agreement effective immediately.  Both companies have agreed that financial markets have changed substantially since the proposed transaction was originally agreed upon and believe that terminating the merger is in the best interests of both parties’ shareholders. The CIO of SSIT’s manager said: “This does not change our outlook for D-Orbit, and we remain confident about the future of the company.”
  • abrdn Asian Income (AAIF) has posted its half-year report for the six months to 30 June 2022. During this time, the trust’s NAV was down by 6.9% while its share price fell by 7.1%. This compares with a 5.8% decline from its benchmark. AAIF is targeting a total dividend of at least 9.75p per Ordinary share for the years ending 31 December 2022 and 2023 with two quarterly dividends of 2.3p each already announced. If appropriate, the board will consider using the company’s revenue reserves built up over the past decade where necessary. The chair said volatility could remain the order of the day, as recession fears join inflation woes while central banks continue on their path of normalisation.
  • Princess Private Equity (PEY) has posted its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2022, during which time its NAV decreased to €13.76 per share, representing a total return of -7.5% including the first interim dividend. Meanwhile, its share price total return was -13.5%. The first interim dividend of €0.38 per share was paid to shareholders in June, in line with the objective to distribute 5% of opening NAV for each financial year, via semi-annual payments in June and December.
  • Digital9 Infrastructure (DGI9) is moving to a premium listing from the Specialist Funds Segment, which should make it easier for ordinary investors to buy its shares.
