QuotedData’s morning briefing 24 October 2022

In QuotedData’s morning briefing 24 October 2022:

  • Ecofin U.S. Renewables Infrastructure (RNEW) says that its investment manager, Ecofin Advisors, has appointed Eileen Fargis as the Ecofin group lead and portfolio manager for RNEW, effective today. Eileen has over 20 years’ industry experience, most recently as head of investments for InterEnergy Holdings, an independent developer, owner, and operator of 2.1 GW of energy generation assets and a utility in the Caribbean and Latin America. She is also the former co-head of the $1bn IFC African, Latin American and Caribbean Fund LP, a private equity fund. Eileen started her career in energy and infrastructure with Skadden Arps and spent nine years at GE Capital Markets, GE Energy Financial Services and GE Structured Finance. [This is good news for RNEW shareholders as it removes some uncertainty over the future of the trust and sets it up in a better position should it choose to absorb US Solar Fund as that trust’s managers absolve responsibility].
  • Welkin China Private Equity (WCPE) has announced that it bis pausing its IPO “due to the increased levels of macroeconomic uncertainty and market volatility”. The fund’s board says that it will reassess an IPO at a later date, when macroeconomic conditions have improved. In the meantime, all funds committed in relation to the IPO will be returned to investors.
  • SLF Realisation Fund (SLFR) says that one of its loans has experienced a negative credit event following the collapse of a business sales process and the business being placed into administration by the management team. £2.5m was outstanding to ‘Borrower 19’  as at 30 June 2022, equivalent to about 0.7p per ordinary share.

We also have results for SBSI and news of an acquisition by SYNC
