- Schroder British Opportunities (SBO) has made a new private equity investment in HeadFirst, an international HR tech service provider operating in fifteen European countries. SBO says that the capital invested will be used to finance HeadFirst’s acquisition of managed services and specialist staffing provider, Impellam Group, to create a world leader in workforce solutions for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) talent. SBO gained exposure to HeadFirst via Schroders’ long-standing investment partner, IceLake. Tim Creed and Pav Sriharan, SBO’s portfolio managers, said “We are pleased to be investing at this important development milestone for HeadFirst as we believe the combined business has the potential for significant growth over the coming years.”
- Infrastructure India (IIP) has published details of its annual general meeting along with a proposal to cancel the admission of its ordinary shares to trading on AIM. IIP says that a circular, including a notice of AGM and the associated form of proxy, is being posted to shareholders today to convene the necessary general meeting of the company at 10.00 a.m. (BST) on 26 June 2024 at which, inter alia, a resolution will be put to shareholders to approve the cancellation. It says that both the AGM notice and the form of proxy will be made available on its website at: www.iiplc.com. Subject to shareholder approval, the cancellation is expected to become effective at 7.00 a.m. on 4 July 2024. As detailed further below, the company will make arrangements through its administrator, FIM Capital Limited, to assist shareholders to transact in IIP’s ordinary shares following the cancellation, which is expected to remain in place for at least six months; however, it says that it does not intend to put in place a formal matched bargain facility.
