Oakley Capital Investments backs Oakley’s latest Iberian tech deal with £8m contribution to Paraty Tech investment

Oakley Capital Investments (OCI) has confirmed that it will contribute around £8m indirectly to the acquisition of Paraty Tech, following Oakley Capital Fund VI’s agreement to invest in the Spanish hotel demand-generation specialist. The commitment represents OCI’s share of Fund VI’s exposure to the transaction.

Oakley says that Paraty Tech, which was founded in 2012 in Malaga, has grown rapidly to become one of Iberia’s leading platforms helping hotels drive direct bookings. Its cloud-based system allows independent hotels and mid-market chains to manage room availability, pricing and reservations across their own websites and call-centre channels, reducing reliance on online travel agencies. Oakley highlights the company’s user-friendly interface, strong integration capabilities and proven success in boosting direct revenue, supported by additional services in digital marketing and outsourced contact centres.

The business has been expanding beyond Spain, with a growing presence in Latin America and early traction in the US. Oakley plans to accelerate this international push and pursue bolt-on acquisitions within the fragmented travel-tech market, aiming to build a scaled platform with a broader suite of services.

For OCI investors, the deal fits a familiar pattern. Oakley has established a strong track record of backing founder-led, cloud-based software businesses in Iberia, including Grupo Primavera – now part of Cegid – and legaltech provider vLex, which Oakley recently agreed to sell at a $1bn valuation. The manager says Paraty Tech shares many of the hallmarks it looks for: entrepreneurial leadership, a defensible niche, and strong recurring revenue characteristics.

The investment continues OCI’s deployment into Fund VI, which has been steadily building exposure to high-growth technology and digital-enabled services businesses across Europe.
