Woodford Patient Capital Trust releases full year results to 31 December 2017 – Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) announced its audited financial report for the year ended 31 December 2017.

The Company’s NAV declined from 93.24p to 91.73p or by -2.0% on a total return basis during the year under review. The share price fell by 7.2% on the same basis.

In the report, the investment manager picked out Proton Partners, which started to treat its first patient in its Newport centre and Benevolent AI, which received $115m of additional funding to reach a valuation of c. $2bn as positive contributors to performance. Oxford Nanopore was also mentioned as a positive contributor, raising a further £100m to be valued at $1.5bn.
