Overview
The National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan, frequently abbreviated as UzNIF, was established pursuant to a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from August 2024 to increase the attractiveness of Uzbekistan for investors, support the development of its economy and capital markets, increase foreign direct investment in the country, accelerate the transformation of large companies and commercial banks controlled by Uzbekistan, and improve corporate governance in the portfolio companies.
It IPO’d in London on 13 May 2026, raising gross proceeds of $603.6m. At the IPO offer price for its global depositary receipts (GDRs) of $25, the opening market cap was $1.95bn.
