Signature Aviation Plc (SIG) was formerly BBA Aviation (BBA). Signature Aviation describes itself as Number 1 global fixed base operator (FBO) and service provider to the business and general aviation (B&GA) industry, serving customers at more than 400 FBO locations covering key markets in North America, Europe, South America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. Signature provides premium, full-service flight support and non-fuel services, including technical support and aircraft management and charter, for passengers, crew and aircraft in the B&GA space. The company has 13.7 million square feet of hangar, terminal and office space under management in the US.
The company acquired EPIC Aviation LLC, trading as EPIC Fuels in May 2018. EPIC provides fuel and fuel related services at FBOs across North America including fuel purchasing cards and transaction processing. Signature says that the acquisition of EPIC significantly strengthened the Signature network offer to customers with the addition of 202 privately owned branded FBOs and over 120 unbranded FBOs. Signature says that, prior to the EPIC acquisition, it was buying in the region of 275 million gallons of fuel per annum. Post the acquisition, this has reportedly increased to over 500 million gallons per annum.
