Overview
Capital Gearing’s investment objective is to achieve capital growth in absolute terms principally through investment in quoted closed ended and other collective investment vehicles, invested in equities or property, with a willingness to hold cash, bonds, index linked securities and commodities when appropriate.
We have written notes that explain how the fund works:
- “Focus on absolute returns“, published in September 2018, CGT’s focus on preserving shareholder wealth has attracted a loyal investor base on top of high levels of success
- “The rewards of long-term thinking” published in July 2019, looked at CGT’s remarkable track record
- “More than a port in a storm” published in March 2020, re-examined CGT against the context of the outbreak of covid-19
