JPMorgan Global Growth and Income C shares : JGGC

JPMorgan Global Growth and Income aims for capital growth from investing in world stock markets. It seeks out strong long-term returns by focusing only on companies that their analyst team believe are about to experience a dramatic and lasting boost to their profitability. The company will set a target dividend each financial year equal to at least 4.0% of the NAV of the company as at the end of the preceding financial year.

The manager is focused on building a high conviction portfolio of typically 50 – 90 stocks, drawing on an investment process underpinned by fundamental research. Portfolio construction is driven by bottom-up stock selection rather than geographical or sector allocation. Currency exposure is predominantly hedged back towards the benchmark.

In 2022, the trust absorbed JPMorgan Elect. However, some of JPMorgan Elect’s holdings were not suited to the new portfolio and could not be sold in a hurry without destroying value for shareholders. To address the problem, the trust issued C shares in respect of this portfolio and will merge the two share classes once the portfolios are aligned.
