Overview
Personal Assets Trust : PNL invests globally in equities, fixed interest, cash, gold and may use derivatives to reduce investment exposure or enhance or protect investment positions. It may also hedge its currency exposure. Its investment policy is to protect and increase (in that order) the value of shareholders’ funds per share over the long term. Investments are selected without reference to their weightings in Personal Assets’ benchmark (the FTSE All-Share Index). The Board is concerned about losing money and so will usually prefer the Company’s portfolio as a whole to have a lower level of risk than the Index.
Personal Assets tries to keep its discount as close to zero as possible.
