Caledonia will be hosting a webcast on the Public Companies pool on Tuesday 24 June at 11.00am (UK time). Mat Masters (CEO), Rob Memmott (CFO), Ben Archer (Co-Head of Public Companies), Alan Murran (Co-Head of Public Companies) and Henry Morris (Director, Public Companies) will provide insight on the team’s investment philosophy, strategy and portfolio. A Q&A session will follow to conclude the event.

- Mat Masters | Chief Executive Officer

Mat joined Caledonia in 2006 with a broad role across the investment portfolio. He became Head of the Capital portfolio in 2010, before taking on increased responsibility for the Income strategy in 2019 when he was promoted to Head of Quoted Equity. Appointed as Chief Executive Officer designate on 1 April 2022, he succeeded Will Wyatt in July 2022. Mat specialised in corporate finance before joining Caledonia, helping small and mid-sized companies access private equity finance. He has served on numerous private and public company boards. A qualified accountant, he brings to the board investment expertise, senior management, international business experience and leadership skills to enable him to execute the board’s strategy.
- Rob Memmott | Chief Financial Officer

Rob was appointed as Caledonia’s Chief Financial Officer in 2023. A chartered accountant, he has significant listed company experience, having previously served as CFO of Arrow Global Group plc, which included its successful IPO, and John Laing Group plc before its take private transaction with KKR. Prior to this he was Finance Director of Leeds Bradford International Airport and Alfred McAlpine Infrastructure Services and CFO at Servisair-Globeground. Rob is also Treasurer and Pro Chancellor of the University of Sheffield. Rob brings to the board extensive commercial and financial experience, with over 20 years’ experience in senior financial leadership roles.

Ben joined Caledonia in 2013 and is Co-Head of Public Companies with responsibility for the Income portfolio. This is a concentrated portfolio that seeks to provide income and capital growth by investing in high quality quoted companies that offer sustainable and growing dividends over time.
Previously, he worked at KPMG and spent 10 years as an equity analyst at Charles Stanley Securities where he also worked on a number of equity capital market transactions. Ben has an Economics and Accounting degree from Bristol University and is a Chartered Accountant.
- Alan Murran | Co-Head of Public Companies

Alan joined Caledonia in 2016 and is Co-Head of Public Companies with responsibility for the Capital portfolio. This is a $1bn+ concentrated portfolio of high quality publicly quoted global companies with strong compounding characteristics that we hold for the long term. Previously, he spent 14 years working across JP Morgan’s Markets business within the investment bank. He has significant multi-asset class experience across equities, fixed income, structured credit and derivatives.
Alan has a 1st class honours in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol. He speaks French, Spanish and Italian after having attended school in Belgium.

Henry joined Caledonia in 2018 and works in the Public Companies team.
Previously, he spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs as an equity analyst within its Global Investment Research business, and subsequently at Chilton Investment Company working on the Chilton European fund.
Henry has a Masters in Engineering from Magdalen College, Oxford.
