Alan is a Senior Investment Director in the Patria Global Private Market Solutions team and Lead Portfolio Manager of Patria Private Equity Trust plc (PPET). He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing private equity investments, including both fund investments and direct investments. Alan has a strong network and extensive experience with leading private equity managers, particularly pan-European, Nordic and Iberian General Partners. As such, Alan sits on a number of Limited Partner advisory committees across Europe. He joined the company in 2014 as part of the Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) transaction and took on the Lead Manager role of PPET in 2019. Prior to joining SWIP, Alan worked for Lloyds Banking Group in its private equity team. Alan holds a BSc (Hons) in Genetics from the University of Edinburgh and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Steven joined Oakley in 2017 and has more than 18 years of investment banking experience. Steven’s focus is fundraising, portfolio support and communications for Oakley and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Oakley, Steven was a founding partner of investment bank Liberum Capital. Over 9 years he raised equity capital for hundreds of companies and advised on public market listings. He began his career in 1997 at Collins Stewart, where he held equity research and sales roles.
Steven holds a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University.

Andrew Carnwath is a Portfolio Manager in the Private Equity team. He was previously a member of the team between 2008-2013 and then re-joined in 2018. Between 2013 and 2018 Andrew was a Principal at Scottish Equity Partners LLP, a UK based private equity firm, where his responsibilities included the co-management of an energy focussed secondary fund. He is a chartered accountant and CFA Charterholder. Andrew is a graduate of Edinburgh University.
