Experienced Janus Henderson investor Richard Clode has been appointed to the Bankers investment trust to work alongside current manager Alex Crooke in what analysts hope will be a catalyst for positive change in the company’s performance.
Clode is currently a manager on the open-ended £1.7bn Global Technology Leaders fund, a position he has held since joining the firm in 2014..
James Carthew, head of investment company research at QuotedData, also flagged the trust’s move into the US and noted that while it does now hold many of the Mag Seven, “the missing ingredient is Nvidia”.
“Having missed out on its spectacular rise, navigating the next stage may be tricky and a manager who knows technology could be useful,” he added.
