Funding Circle SME Income Fund has announced that, further to the statement made in the its prospectus relating to a possible participation in a financing project with the European Investment Bank, negotiations have reached an advance stage and they say they are working towards a completion of such an arrangement in the second quarter of 2016 (subject to final approvals.) The directors also say that they are of the view that, if the arrangements are successfully completed, these can be expected to assist the Company in achieving the total return target specified in the Prospectus of 8-9% per annum (once leverage is in place in accordance with its stated investment policy.) However, they also say that there can be no assurance that the arrangements under negotiation, or any arrangements with the European Investment Bank will be completed but that a further announcement will be made if and when the intended transaction has closed.
