Starwood European Real Estate Finance has announced proposals for a new placing programme to issue up to 250m shares and/or c shares. The company’s existing placement programme expires on 6 September 2016 and the board says that it is now considering a new replacement programme at a point later in 2016 or in 2017. The timing of the new placing programme and the amount of equity to be issued is yet to be determined. However, the board considers it prudent to take this opportunity to renew the necessary authorities from Shareholders at this stage. The board says that, if implemented, the new placing programme will enable the company to make further investments in accordance with its investment policy.
