Vietnam Enterprise Investments has announced that, having satisfied the required eligibility criteria during the September 2016 review, it will be added to the FTSE Small Cap/All-Share Index. The company’s inclusion will be effective as of 19 September 2016.
The company says that, since listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on 5 July 2016, its net asset value has increased from approximately US$890m to US$985m. Furthermore, it says that the discount to NAV, at which its shares trade, has narrowed from approximately 19% to 15% and the average daily traded value of the Company’s shares has been approximately US$1.7m. Dominic Scriven, Executive Chairman of Dragon Capital Group, has said that Index inclusion should assist in continuing to broaden the Company’s investor base and the liquidity of its shares while contributing to a further narrowing of the discount.
