John Laing Environmental Assets acquires the Moel Moelogan 2 wind farm for £22.65m

John Laing Environmental Assets has announced that it has acquired the Moel Moelogan 2 wind farm (MM2) for £22.65m cash, including working capital and the repayment of a project finance loan at completion. The acquisition was funded by a draw-down under the Company’s revolving credit facility.

Moel Moelogan 2 is an onshore wind farm located at Moelogan Farm near Llanrwst, Conwy, North Wales and comprises nine Siemens SWT-1.3-62 turbines with a total generating capacity of 11.7MW. The project is accredited for 1.0 ROC and has been operational since 2008. John Laing Environmental Assets says that it is also in advanced discussions, with the same majority vendors, to acquire another smaller wind farm located at the same site.
