Lazard World Trust Fund lost continuation vote –  The board of Lazard World Trust Fund has announced that at the Annual General Meeting held yesterday at 3:00 p.m. (Luxembourg time), all resolutions were duly passed with the exception of Resolution 1 (the approval of the continuation of the company).

As Resolution 1 has not been passed, it is the board’s intention to consult with shareholders prior to formulating proposals to be put to all shareholders. The board will begin those shareholder consultations as soon as practicable.

In light of the above, the board is suspending the share buyback programme until further notice.

The votes cast were as follows:

For continuation 9,792,648 (40.18%). Against 14,579,799 (59.82%). Withheld 1,111,155. Total votes 25,483,602 Percentage of shares that were voted (79.4%).
