Simon Cordery joins Polar Capital Global Financials Trust board

Polar Capital Global Financials Trust (PCFT) has announced that Mr. Simon Cordery has been appointed as an independent, non-executive director, with effect from 1 July 2019. Mr. Cordery has considerable and detailed knowledge of the investment trust industry and remains actively involved with the Association of Investment Companies. A resolution proposing the election of Mr. Cordery as a non-executive director will be put to shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company due to be held in April 2020.

About Simon Cordery

Mr. Cordery has almost 40 years’ experience working within financial services of which nearly 30 years have been focused on the wealth management industry. Until recently, he was Head of Investor Relations and Sales at BMO Global Asset Management (formerly F&C Asset Management), where he spent almost 25 years in senior roles, and previously he held roles with Invesco Fund Managers, Jefferies & Co, Kleinwort Benson Securities and Rea Bros Merchant Bank.
