Premier Global Infrastructure (PEW) reported half-year results to 30 June 2019. The total return on the company’s portfolio was 12.4%, which although an improvement was below the benchmark FTSE global core infrastructure 50/50 total return index’s 18.9%. It has been a good few months for the sector though; Gillian Nott OBE, chairman of PEW, added the following in her statement: “The global infrastructure sector has been a popular investment destination over the first half of the year, and has been one of the main beneficiaries of the changed interest rate outlook.”
