JPMorgan Indian (JII) has announced that after 26 years with JPMorgan and nearly 30 years working in finance, Rukhshad Shroff, the company’s joint portfolio manager, has decided to retire from asset management. He will leave JP Morgan Asset Management on 11th September 2020.
Joint-manager structure maintained with Ayaz Ebrahim joining
JII’s portfolio is managed on a joint investment manager basis. Rukhshad’s co-manager, Rajendra Nair, will continue in his current role managing the company’s investments and the investment process for the company’s portfolio management will remain unchanged. With effect from 1st August 2020, Raj will be joined as co-manager by another highly experienced investment professional, Ayaz Ebrahim.
Ayaz is the co-head of the Asia Pacific regional team within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific equities team based in Hong Kong, with 30 years of experience in the industry, including more than 25 years as a portfolio manager. He also chairs the Asia Pacific asset allocation committee and has been a portfolio manager of JPMorgan Asia Growth & Income since May 2016.
