In QuotedData’s morning briefing 24 August 2020:

  • Schroder AsiaPacific (SOI) announced that Matthew Dobbs will retire from fund management in 2021. In accordance with a succession plan agreed with the board, he will hand over responsibility to Richard Sennitt as manager and Abbas Barkhordar as assistant manager. Robin Parbrook, who has extensive Asian investment management experience, will assume investment oversight from 31 March 2021 and take the investment reporting line of Richard and Abbas.
  • Adamas Finance Asia raised £3.1m by issuing 13,165,782 new ordinary shares. As previously discussed, these shares have been issued at a substantial discount to NAV, to the detriment of existing shareholders.

We also have a circular release from Witan Pacific, ahead of its proposed change of strategy to a Baillie Gifford-managed pure China fund, a £106.6m new solar portfolio investment by Bluefield Solar, another catalogue deal announcement from Hipgnosis Songs, and an update from International Public Partnerships on the Thames Tideway Tunnel project.
