  • Schroder British Opportunities (SBO) announced its investment into Learning Curve Group (LCG), described as a leading private UK training and education specialist. SBO invested alongside Agilitas, a pan-European mid-market private equity firm. LCG represents SBO’s first private equity investment. LCG provides opportunities for over 120,000 learners and 4,500 employers per year to help upskill both new and existing staff, enabling individuals to develop new skills in order to enter employment or advance their careers.
  • Downing Renewables & Infrastructure (DORE) has exchanged contracts to acquire its first investment, a portfolio of eight operational hydropower plants in central and southern Sweden. The Portfolio is being acquired from Fortum Sweden AB for approximately €65m on a debt and cash-free basis. The transaction is expected to complete in February 2021. DORE raised £122.5m in its IPO earlier this month.
  • Primary Health Properties (PHP) has acquired the West Derby Medical Centre, a modern purpose-built medical centre constructed in 2016, for a total cost of £4.6m. PHP says the property is leased to a substantial GP practice, with a patient list of over 13,000 patients, and a pharmacy.
  • PRS REIT (PRSR), an investor in new-build homes for the private rented sector, has bought a fully-let development of 123 new homes in Greater Manchester for £19.0m from BlackRock Real Assets. The development generates a passing rent of approximately £1.16m p/a. The transaction marks the full commitment of PRSR’s funding resource of £900m (gross), bringing the total number of completed homes in the portfolio to 3,163, providing an estimated rental value of approximately £29.4m p/a.
  • BH Global (BHGU/BHGG) announced that announces that Julia Chapman, has been appointed as senior independent director in place of Graham Harrison. This will take effect from 1 January 2021. Julia currently holds the position of director.
