  • GCP Infrastructure (GCP) has announced that Alex Yew has been appointed as a director with effect from 1 November 2022. This follows Ian Reeves’ notification that he will retire from the board on 31 October 2022. Alex, a United Kingdom resident, is a qualified solicitor in Singapore and in England and Wales, who has more than 25 years of experience working as a lawyer, banker and investor. Until recently, he was a senior advisor and a senior managing director at John Laing, an international investor in infrastructure and energy assets. Alex worked at John Laing for more than 14 years, during which time he held leadership positions in project finance, new markets, strategy, partnerships, Latin America and Europe. He was also a member of the senior leadership team and the investment committee. Prior to John Laing, Alex was a director in the infrastructure advisory team at CIBC World Markets in London as well as a banker and lawyer in Southeast Asia.

  • Triple Point Energy Transition’s (TENT’s) migration from the Specialist Fund Segment to the Premium Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange has been completed. Its shares began trading on the premium segment at 8am this morning. The company’s chair, Dr John Roberts CBE, says that the board believes the move will raise TENT’s profile as an investment company and help provide access to the company’s shares from a broader group of investors. In addition, admission to the Premium Listing Segment is a key criteria to facilitate the Company’s inclusion in the FTSE indices. TENT’s board says that it anticipates that the combination of these factors should help to increase the diversity of the shareholder base and improve liquidity, to the benefit of shareholders.
  • JPMorgan Japanese (JFJ) has announced that Sally Duckworth has been appointed as a non-executive Director with effect from 31 October 2022. JFJ says that she is an established entrepreneur, with a focus on technology and has a background in finance and investment. Previously, she was chief operating and finance officer (COFO) at ETA Green Power until 2020 and was previously CEO of You at Work. Before that she was COFO of Redkite Financial Markets. Sally qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Mobeus Income & Growth 2 VCT plc and the Chair of StorMagic Limited.
