Ruffer Investment Company (RICA) says that Duncan MacInnes, co-manager of the fund, has left its manager with immediate effect and so, as of today, Alexander Chartres – a partner at Ruffer LLP – and Ian Rees will join the current portfolio manager Jasmine Yeo as managers of RICA’s portfolio.

Jasmine has been co-manager of RICA since 2022, and Alexander and Ian are long standing members of Ruffer’s fund management team. Alexander joined Ruffer in 2010 and is a lead manager on Ruffer’s Total Return and Absolute Return funds, the former since 2019; while Ian joined Ruffer in 2012 and has been a lead manager on Ruffer Diversified Return fund since 2021. RICA says that Jasmine, Alexander and Ian already work closely with the chief investment officer team, led by Henry Maxey and Neil McLeish, and so its Board is confident that there will be continuity of RICA’s investment strategy and process.
