- Augmentum Fintech (AUGM) has led a £4.5m funding round into RetailBook, a platform aiming to widen retail investor access to primary capital markets. The investment sees Augmentum join a roster of existing backers including Peel Hunt, Jefferies, Rothschild & Co, and Hargreaves Lansdown. RetailBook allows retail investors to participate in IPOs, placings, and bond offerings on the same terms as institutions, with access provided via established retail brokerage platforms. The funding will support RetailBook’s expansion across asset classes and further development of its platform. As part of the deal, Augmentum CEO Tim Levene will join RetailBook’s board. Levene said the investment aligns with Augmentum’s focus on democratising finance, highlighting RetailBook’s potential role amid UK market reforms aimed at boosting liquidity and broadening participation. - HydrogenOne Capital Growth plc has announced the appointment of Shore Capital and Corporate Limited, alongside Shore Capital Stockbrokers Limited, as its sole financial adviser and corporate broker with immediate effect.
- Lindsell Train Investment Trust (LTI) has reported share purchases by Michael Lindsell – both a non-executive director of LTI and a founder and principle of its investment manager – as well as a person closely associated (PCA) with him. On 9 May 2025, a PCA of Lindsell acquired 50 ordinary shares at 83,049.80p and another 50 shares at 41,422.00p, while Lindsell himself purchased a further 50 shares at 83,252p. All transactions were carried out on the London Stock Exchange.
