Bellevue Healthcare (BBH) will be left with around £60.5m as it transfers to Columbia Threadneedle after shareholders sold 40.9%, or just over 29.9m shares, in the 100% tender offer announced last month. At its peak in 2021 under former fund manager Bellevue Asset Management, BBH had £1bn of assets. Ameriprise Financial, the parent company of Columbia Threadneedle, intends to subscribe up to $25m (£18.7m) of shares to bolster the investment trust. At a general meeting yesterday, all the resolutions relating to the appointment of Columbia Threadneedle’s fund manager Kosta Kleyman were passed with 92%-99% support, meaning it takes effect today. The company will be renamed CT Healthcare Trust.
Schroder European Real Estate (SERE) is suing Dutch electrical engineering group Shuurman Beheer for €350,000 unpaid rent after it fell into financial difficulties and stopped operations at SERE’s industrial property in Alkmaar. Active marketing of the premises, which contributes around 5% of portfolio income, has begun and attracted “good initial interest” from prospective occupiers. SERE shares firmed 0.5p to 64.6p as it also announced it had achieved an 18% rental increase to €900,000 on its Stuttgart office where the State of Baden-Württemberg has signed a new 10-year annually indexed lease for 4,784 sqm of space. It has also agreed terms on a seven/ten-year term lease extension with the sole tenant of its Rumilly logistics property which accounts for 5% of portfolio income.
