Investors in Global Real Estate has announced that it has selected Schroder Property Investment Management Limited as its new manager (starting today!). The portfolio will be run by a new Global Property Securities team established by Schroder consisting of Tom Walker (from AMP where he was Deputy Head of Global Listed Real Estate), Hugo Machin (from AMP where he was Head of European Listed Real Estate), Ben Forster (already at Schroders – he will transfer across to the newly created team as a Fund Analyst) and one more fund analyst, who has 7 years’ property securities experience and will join the team in August. The team will report to Neil Turner, Head of Indirect Property Investment and is to work in conjunction with the Schroders Property Securities teams already based in Asia and the USA.
Following the move, and subject to shareholders’ approval, the name of the fund will change to Schroder Global Real Estate Securities Limited.
The Board also intends to review its discount management policy.
