Global Inflation Christmas Breakfast

We are delighted to be hosting a Christmas themed breakfast on Global Inflation.
Whilst the two topics aren’t a usual pair, with inflation rising across the global, but how much and for how long being in question, we hope that you will find some insight from our fund managers presenting. They will discuss their views on the outlook for 2023 from a global perspective, as well as provide a brief update on each of their respective trust’s portfolios and positioning; abrdn Asia Focus, Murray International and Aberdeen Diversified Income Growth.

Nalaka is responsible for developing and implementing strategies across the Private Markets spectrum. This includes investments across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Natural Resources and Private Credit on a global basis. Solutions based strategies are designed around client outcomes including growth, income and proactive ESG strategies.
Nalaka joined the company in 2012. Prior to this, Nalaka held senior roles at Australian and European Investment management firms. He has lead M&A activity, off-market acquisitions and divestments of assets, offshore and onshore capital rising in debt and equity markets. Nalaka is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a postgraduate degree in Commercial Law and Accounting.

Martin is an Investment Director on the Global Equity Team at abrdn. Martin began his career at Murray Johnstone in 1998 and joined the company via the acquisition of Murray Johnstone in 2001. Martin has held a number of roles including Trader, Credit Analyst and ESG Analyst, however he has been focused on the management of global equity portfolios for the last fifteen years.
