Justin Urquhart Stewart

With an early career that spanned the vineyards of Europe, the docks of Southampton and finance in Asia, Justin went on to establish Broker Services, which became Barclays Stockbrokers. Today he is one of the most recognisable and trusted market commentators on television, radio and in the press. He is also one of the co-founders of 7IM. Together with Tom Sheridan, Justin founded 7IM to deliver radical common sense in an industry where that quality is hard to find. As Head of Corporate Development, he ensured the principle of doing the right thing is as powerful today as it was at the outset. Currently, Justin acts as Chairman to Regionally, a company recently co-founded by himself and Jim Odell. Regionally aims to act as the missing element of the plumbing, in connecting UK regional scale-up SME’s with nationwide and global investors. As an enthusiast of financial education and service, he is a champion of providing clients the very best, clearly expressed.

Rodney Hobson

Rodney Hobson is one of the country’s top financial commentators. He writes a weekly column for the Morningstar financial news website and his beginner‘s guide to the stock market, Shares Made Simple, has been reprinted five times and is in its second edition. He is a regular speaker at the London Investor Show, was a guest speaker on the Fred Olsen World Cruise this year and addresses investment clubs and other organisations. Rodney is a former News Editor for Business News on The Times and he has contributed to the City pages on the Daily Mail and The Independent. He has been interviewed on BBC TV and Radio and on CNBC. During seven years living and working in Asia he was Business Editor of the Singapore Monitor and Deputy Business Editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review.

David Paul

David Paul was born in July of 1955 in Northern Ireland. He attended Rainey Endowed School and studied mechanical engineering at the Queens University of Belfast. In 1981 he graduated with a PhD in the subject. In April 1981 he emigrated to South Africa and was employed by Boart International. The latter was at the time a member of the Anglo group. He was promoted to head of engineering research in 1984. In 1988 he resigned to start his own company manufacturing rock drilling tools. This company was sold in 1991 to a multinational concern. While at Boart International he had started to trade in the stock market and has been actively trading in the Johannesburg and world markets since 1991. In 1993 he joined Progressive Systems College in the marketing of stock market education and software and became a director of that company with responsibilities for sales and marketing of all products in the Johannesburg area. In 1999 he exited the marketing position and focused on full time trading and part time lecturing and coaching of individuals and several banks and hedge funds. During this time he presented hundreds of stock market ,futures market and forex seminars to retail investors and many to banks such as Nedbank, Investec , Rand Merchant Bank, Barclays, Standard Chartered and Saxo bank to name a few. In 2009 he joined with Tom Hougaard to form www.whichwaytoday.com.
The latter provides real time calls in the futures and forex markets and markets an advanced trading seminar for experienced traders. The product has a worldwide client base. In 2011 he launched the VectorVest range of products in South Africa and was appointed Managing Director of VectorVest for Southern Africa as of February 2011. The company grew strongly in 2011 and 2012 and a result of this success he was given VectorVest UK to manage as well as South Africa. From October 2012 to the present he has been Managing Director of VectorVest UK and VectorVest SA. He continues to trade his own account in the share, forex and commodity markets each and every day.
David appears twice on stage at the London Investor Show. Firstly, catch him in the ShowCase Theatre at 11.00 am with his popular seminar on “swing-trading success on the LSE”. Later on, you can join David in the Main Auditorium for the workshop, “The VectorVest Worry-Free Trading Method” at 2.05pm.

Akshaya Bhargava

Akshaya Bhargava is the founder of Bridgeweave, a Fintech firm that uses AI models to provide institutional quality research signals and investment ideas to investors, advisors and asset managers. Bridgeweave's flagship product is InvestorAi, available on a mobile for end investors in equity markets.

From 2014-2017, Akshaya was the global CEO of Wealth and Investment Management, Barclays plc. Prior to that, he founded InfraHedge, a hedge fund managed account platform, which was acquired by State Street Corporation in 2013 He has been CEO of Butterfield Fulcrum Group (acquired by MUFJ Group) and the founding CEO of Progeon (acquired by Infosys and renamed Infosys BPO in 2006). He started his career at Citibank where he spent 22 years in a variety of senior roles including as Country Manager, Citibank Czech Republic and many other senior roles.

Alpesh chairs the Lunchtime Summit at the London Investor Show, at 1.10 pm in the Main Audititorium. After an incredibly difficult year on many fronts, the panel will look specifically at the investment landscape, post-Covid19. Questions and contributions will be invited from the audience.

Adam Harris

Adam sold his half of a successful Visual Effects Production Company in early 2008 to focus on growing and managing his own financial investments. He was quickly drawn to trading the financial markets as a viable source of income with no ceiling, as well as its startling parallels with other real- life experiences. Adam’s primary focus is in finding strong and established trends, no matter which market they are in. He happily trades across all instruments and on various timeframes. He employs trading strategies that are sound and intuitive, and most of all, provide real, practical, sensible and consistent results. He joined the Trade With Precision team in early 2015, and is proud to be part of a company with the highest of standards in quality, integrity and goals. Through TWP, he has provided market analysis for high-profile global exchanges including, but not limited to, the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and the Futures Institute division of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). As a trader, he is predominantly a Swing Trader, entering positions on the Daily, or 4-hourly timeframe, and is a fan of all asset classes, including the global indices, commodities, currencies and selected equities. Adam also actively trades large funds for a few select firms in London, and is fortunate enough to do a lot of this on his own time, leaving him free to pursue other passions, one of which includes mentoring and transferring any lessons he has learned over the years to other enthusiastic individuals going down the same path. After growing up in beautiful Cape Town, Adam now lives in London, with a view to retiring on the warm, sunny Mediterranean within the next few years.

Sarah Cruddas

Sarah is a space journalist, international TV host and award winning author. She has an academic background in astrophysics and is a global thought leader in the growing commercial space sector. Within the space industry Sarah works at the highest level, traveling the globe working to develop the commercial space sector. People and organisations she has worked directly with include Jeff Bezos, Buzz Aldrin, Tim Peake, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, NASA, the Commander of US Space Command, Jim Bridenstine, Jan Worner, The Space Foundation, Virgin Galactic, The Gates Foundation, Boeing, Cobham, Mercedes, SXSW, Samsung, the UK department for trade and industry, The Ministry of Defence, SETI and ESA.

Sarah also sits on the board of directors of Space for Humanity, a global non-profit dedicated to democratising access to space and is an honorary advocate of the Space Frontier Foundation.

Sarah’s mission is to inspire a diverse audience about why space exploration matters, how it has shaped all of our lives and why we all need to look up a little more. Space is for everyone.

Sarah will chair “Investing in the Space Economy” panel, taking place in the Main Auditorium at 12.20 pm. She is joined by Stuart Martin, Catapult, and Volodymyr Levykin of Skyrora.

Stuart Martin

Stuart Martin is CEO of the Satellite Applications Catapult. He joined the Catapult in January 2013 from Logica (now part of CGI) where he had led all the company’s activities in the Space domain for seven years. Stuart is a former vice-chair of UKSpace, the British trade association representing the Space industry, and council member of Eurospace – its European equivalent. He is a Non-Executive Director of three Catapult spin-out companies, a member of the Advisory Board for Seraphim Space Venture Capital Fund, and sits on the UK Space Leadership Council, the top-level cross-industry, academia and government stakeholder group responsible for overseeing and delivering UK space policy.

Stuart is a passionate advocate of the Catapult programme, which he considers to be a vital element of the UK strategy to secure and accelerate economic growth from emerging technologies. Furthermore, for satellite applications, he believes the UK is well on its way to securing a world- leading position, making the UK the place to be if you want to do business in Space.

Stuart takes a seat in the Main Auditorium at 12.20 pm, for the panel session looking at “Investing in the Space Economy”.

Jason Graystone

Since starting his first business at 22 years old, Jason has successfully built and run multi million pound businesses both in the service sector and online.

At age 24, Jason found a love for investing. A combination of passive investing and speculation in the financial markets allowed him to adopt a powerful wealth acceleration strategy, helping him achieve complete financial independence and making him a millionaire in his late 20’s. Jason’s contribution in the education space has been recognised as being radically transparent and transferable. His refreshingly honest and insightful approach to helping other traders succeed has since been commended by Forbes magazine which he has been featured in for his innovative work towards trader development. A large part of his trading success was built on a foundation of becoming a business owner first. His obsession with statistics and data is what he believes has led him to discover the missing links in todays trading education. Jason has a vast global successful trading community made up of serious traders and investors who are part of the Tier One Trading platform.

Volodymyr Levykin

CEO & Founder of Skyrora Ltd. Volodymyr has over 10 years of management experience at C-level. At the helm of many enterprises to date, he has successfully created a number of revenue-generated businesses and driven the creation of multiple software platforms and technologies, ranging from sophisticated data analytics & platform optimization through to social interaction, messaging systems and payment platforms. His current activities in the Space sector have significant and very clear goals to aim for. Skyrora have hit every single milestone, successfully, to date and he is excited to be apart of the space industry and relishes the challenges ahead of him.

Vinita Ramtri

inita Ramtri is a corporate employee in finance. She’s also a single mother, speaker, writer, coach and a keen investor managing her stocks portfolio.

With over 22 years of corporate experience across four industries, Vinita has worked with firms such as The Oberoi Hotels, BskyB and Barclays. She’s an accredited Senior Practitioner by the European Coaching and Mentoring Council and has over 600 hours of coaching experience. She’s also authored two books and spoken at global events covering locations such as Sydney, Vienna and Barcelona.

A self proclaimed autodidactic, she graduated from India following which she completed other qualifications such as Prince 2, MSP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Million Dollars Trading course from the Lex van Dam Trading Academy. Also a fitness enthusiast, she’s run the London marathon and a few half-marathons.

Toby Finden-Crofts

Toby has over 20 years’ experience within the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of product development, distribution, media and communications within the market. He is a regular commentator in the media and has held a number of special adviser roles for private companies, such as the Social Business Group. Toby has also written a number of reports about the UK investment market, while helping and advising some of the world’s largest financial service companies at a senior or board level. Before setting up Research in Finance he was responsible for publishing some award winning consumer and trade titles across a range of different markets; including Investment Week, Bloomberg Money and Professional Pensions.
Toby sits on the Lunchtime Summit panel, looking at the investment landscape left by Covid-19, and what the future may hold, post-Covid19.

Leo Davies

Leo is co-founder and CEO of Moscar Capital. He’s involved in all aspects of the business, including strategic development, portfolio management and investor relations. Leo has led investment across technology, media, finance and real estate.

Prior to establishing Moscar Capital, Leo managed regulated investments for his longstanding HNWI and Corporate clients. Due to his expertise and extensive network within corporate wealth management, he naturally progressed to sourcing and investing in series A and B growth capital opportunities. Leo remains FCA authorised and is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance.

Patrick Reid

Patrick Reid is a veteran trader with over 15 years experience. He has traded Derivatives at the biggest prop desk in the world. From government debt to equities then FX Futures. This led to Patrick being head-hunted into a New York hedge fund (Edgewater Markets) where he traded the mighty Spot FX. He is now Co-founder of Adamis Principle and heads up the mentoring and education arm. Adamis help clients make sense of macro, understand risk and ultimately sharpen your trading edge.

David Stredder

David is one of the Directors of ShareSoc (UK Individual Shareholders Society). He started as a sports journalist in his early working life but he decided to concentrate on his growing property management business from the age of 29. That business grew to be one of the largest in South London and was sold to an industry consolidator in the late nineties. Since then he has concentrated on his listed and unlisted investments and is an active small cap investor. David was a founder and eventual chairman of the London Business Club and networking continues to play an important role with the regular monthly investor dinners and company presentations that he arranges in South East London.
A seasoned and experienced investor, David chairs a panel session where the contributors are willing to share with you their “Top 10 Investing Mistakes” – starting at 9.45 am in Conference Room 1.

Stephen Clapham

Steve is the founder of Behind the Balance Sheet (https://behindthebalancesheet.com/), the premier investment training consultancy. The company runs Forensic Accounting Courses for leading institutions like Schroders, Hermes and Baillie Gifford – since the first course in June 2018, over 150 investment professionals have been through the programme. More recently, courses have been made available to private investors, both in-person at the City training academy and online (https://courses.behindthebalancesheet.com/). Steve also produces bespoke research for a small group of institutional clients and is part time an analyst at Hardman & Co. Steve is regularly in the press on City AM and on the Today programme on BBC Radio 4, talking about accounting issues at quoted companies. Steve spent some 20 years as an equity analyst at different investment banks, covering various sectors, and was consistently rated in the top 10 in his sector in Extel, II and Reuters surveys. He moved to the buy-side in 2005 and was a partner and head of research at two multi-billion dollar hedge funds; he specialised in using a deep dive research approach to identify special situation opportunities. Steve trained as an accountant and lives in London; he enjoys reading, yoga, and skiing and is interested in investment theory, wine and classic cars.
