Description
This online event will take the form of a short introduction from the Chairman, followed by a more detailed presentation from the Managers, Bruce Stout and Martin Connaghan. There will also be an opportunity to ask the Board questions on the Annual Report.
The Annual Report for the year ended 31 December 2021 is available to download in the ‘key literature’ section on www.murray-intl.co.uk. Should you have any questions relating to this report, please raise them when registering and the Board and/or Manager will endeavour to answer them at the meeting or shortly thereafter. You will also have the opportunity to raise questions on the day.

He is a corporate lawyer by background and was formerly a partner of UK law firm, Dundas & Wilson (now part of CMS), where he was a partner for over 30 years and where he previously held various positions including head of corporate, managing partner and chairman. David is also a non-executive chairman of WNL Investments Limited.

She is a former equity analyst, having spent the majority of her executive career in Asia with SBC Warburg, JP Morgan and Credit Suisse. She has some 18 years of experience as a director of UK listed investment trusts and is currently chairman of JPMorgan China Growth & Income trust plc and a non-executive director of The Henderson Smaller Companies Trust plc. She is also a director of Board Level Partners Ltd, which provides board advisory services.

Bruce Stout is a senior investment manager on the Global equities team. Bruce joined the company in 1987 via the acquisition of Murray Johnstone. Bruce has held a number of roles including investment manager on the emerging markets team.
Bruce graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Strathclyde and completed a graduate training course with General Electric Company UK.

Martin is an Investment Director on the Global Equity Team at abrdn. Martin began his career at Murray Johnstone in 1998 and joined the company via the acquisition of Murray Johnstone in 2001. Martin has held a number of roles including Trader, Credit Analyst and ESG Analyst, however he has been focused on the management of global equity portfolios for the last fifteen years.

William is responsible for all aspects of abrdn’s UK closed end funds. William joined abrdn in 1991 from Stronghold Asset Managers Limited. He has fulfilled a number of roles at abrdn, including management of open ended and segregated funds, however, throughout his time at abrdn he has worked closely on closed end funds, and has been involved in all aspects of their management and support. He previously worked at Royal Trust Asset Management.
