Description
The Directors believe that the typical investors for whom an investment in the Company is appropriate are private investors and institutional investors investing for capital growth and seeking exposure to a diversified global portfolio, primarily consisting of Private Market Investments, which aims to create positive measurable environmental and social impact. An investment in the Company is only suitable for persons capable of evaluating the risks and merits of such an investment and who have sufficient resources to bear any loss which may result from the investment. Potential investors should consider with care whether an investment in the Company is suitable for them in the light of their personal circumstances and the financial resources available to them. Investors may wish to consult an independent financial adviser who specialises in advising on the acquisition of shares and other securities before making an investment

Summary
After 18 years managing and designing sustainable equity funds I took the decision in 2015 to develop the Global Sustainability Trust (GST) initiative. The GST is a Board/investor-led initiative to launch the world's first global impact investment trust. If we are to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the benefit of current and future generations we need to mobilise more capital in permanent capital fund structures. Investment trusts offer such a structure, and being accessible to both retail and institutional investors can help to “democratise SDG-finance”.
Investments trusts were first launched in 1868 to help fund the industrial revolution, and 150 years later they can play an important role in funding the industrial evolution which is required to put our economy and society back on a sustainable path.
The Global Sustainability Trust plc will invest globally across the sustainable finance spectrum, including: impact venture capital, mezzanine and private equity; microfinance; renewable energy and social infrastructure; green and social property; conservation finance; green bonds; and listed sustainable equities.
The Global Sustainability Trust plc will not be restricted by size constraints, thus providing crucial capital and expertise to some of the most attractive and socially-useful parts of the investment market, currently under-served by the mainstream financial system.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer – Prior to founding QuotedData in 2013, Edward spent over 10 years in investment banking with Cazenove (now JP Morgan Cazenove) and before that, Collins Stewart (now Canaccord Genuity). At Cazenove, Edward focused on Investment Trusts, working with the number-one Extel-rated team, and broadened his focus to Pan European equities, servicing a global investor base and raising over €1 billion for companies. Following his departure from investment banking, Edward set up an equity agency broker that was subsequently sold to SpareBank1Markets, part of the second biggest savings alliance in Norway. Edward also sits on the Marten & Co board.
