Witan has announced that James Hart is joining Witan’s management team to work alongside Andrew Bell on “developing, implementing and communicating Witan’s investment strategy”.
After graduating from The University of Exeter in 1992, James joined Olliff & Partners, a stockbroker specialising in closed-end funds. In 1996, he joined Bank Julius Baer to develop the bank’s emerging market funds advisory desk and subsequently assumed responsibility for the Group’s fund trading and market making activity. In 2000, James moved to Julius Baer Investments Ltd, where he was in charge of managing a portfolio of closed-end funds. He joined Hamilton Lunn Asset Management early in 2002 to assist in managing Apollo Fund plc and other discretionary portfolios. James moved to Cayenne Asset Management Ltd on its establishment in 2004, where he is one of three individuals responsible for the management of The Cayenne Trust plc, Apollo Fund plc and other discretionary portfolios.
The move will happen in April 2015.
