NB Distressed Debt Investment Fund Limited has announced that senior analysts, Brendan McDermott and Ravi Soni, have been promoted to co-portfolio managers for distressed debt, effective
immediately. Mr. McDermott and Mr. Soni report to Michael Holmberg, Senior Portfolio Manager and head of Neuberger Berman’s distressed debt business.
At the same time they’ve announced that, Patrick Flynn, co-portfolio manager of the Company, will return to Neuberger Berman’s High Yield business at the end of 2015 as one of four high yield co-portfolio managers. Over the next ten months his responsibilities at the Company will be assumed by Mr. Holmberg and the distressed debt team.
Brendan McDerrmott and Ravi Soni were part of the team that Michael Holmberg brought over to Neuberger Berman in May 2009 from Newberry with the aim of building its distressed debt business. Today, Mr. Holmberg and team oversee approximately $950 million in committed capital across five distressed debt vintages. Over time the team has expanded including the recent additions of dedicated credit analysts Jan-Bart De Groote and Matthew Maloney.
