Smooth flying for DP Aircraft One

DP Aircraft One, which owns two Dreamliners (Boeing 787s) that are leased to Norwegian Air Shuttle, has announced its first set of results covering the period from 5 July 2013 (when it was incorporated), through its launch in October 2013 and up to the 31 December 2014.

The net asset value at the end of the period was 93.575 cents per share. They have paid for interim dividends of 2.25 cents per share so far, in-line with the forecast in the company’s prospectus.

The report says the aviation industry is extremely healthy with record profits in 2014 and growth forecast for 2015. The big positive is the fall in the oil price. 228 Dreamliners had been delivered to airlines by the end of December 2014 and an additional 48 have been ordered in the last nine months. Norwegian is on track to have a fleet of 12 Dreamliners by the end of 2016.
