New manager for Shires Income

New manager for Shires Income – Following the merger of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC and Standard Life plc, and the subsequent integration of the equity teams at Aberdeen Standard Investments, the board of Shires Income PLC has announced that Iain Pyle will become the lead investment manager on the company’s portfolio with immediate effect.

The announcement points out tht the company will benefit from the manager’s enlarged UK equity team (which, following the above merger, now comprises some 15 investment professionals) and, in particular, the increased resource of its UK equity income group. No changes are envisaged to the company’s investment objective or policy as a result of this change, nor to the manager’s investment process.
