- Shareholders approved JPMorgan Asia’s change of name to JPMorgan Asia Growth and Income. The ticker becomes JAGI.
- GCP Infrastructure has confirmed that Clive Spears retired as a non-executive director at its AGM. Ian Reeves CBE, the chairman, commented, “I would like to thank Clive for his invaluable support, dedicated service and contribution to the group over the last 9 years. The board would like to wish Clive continued success in the future“.
- Separately, at GCP Infrastructure’s AGM, while all the resolutions were passed, one large investor voted against the company issuing more shares. The company is going to try to talk to them to find out why – we can’t think of a logical reason but we note that a similar thing happened at the Tritax Eurobox AGM yesterday as well. GCP says that the shareholder might have been acting on advice from PIRC, “an independent corporate governance and research agency” – most resolutions put to shareholders at investment company AGMs aren’t that controversial and we wonder whether this agency is being a bit over zealous.
