  • Income-focused Murray International (MYI) reported annual results to 31 December 2019. The company’s total return NAV increased by 12.4%, which came in below a total return of 21.1% from the company’s benchmark (40% FTSE World UK Index and 60% FTSE World ex UK Index). MYI said that within most regional benchmark indices, low-yielding technology and growth companies contributed most to positive returns, which proved challenging in relative performance terms for the company’s more income-focused portfolio. MYI also announced the appointment of Simon Fraser as an independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 May 2020.
  • Seneca Global Income & Growth (SIGT) announce the appointment of Anne Gilding as a non-executive director. Anne’s appointment will commence from 15 June 2020. SIGT noted that over the last twenty-five years Anne has led the development of global communications, branding and marketing solutions for a broad range of companies including Impax Asset Management Group, BMO (formerly F&C), GAM, Vernalis Group plc and UBS. She is currently a senior advisor to Peregrine Communications and a non-executive director of Aberdeen New Thai.
  • GCP Student Living reported a 10% jump in EPRA NAV to 174.71p per share in half-year results today. Total shareholder return for the six months to the end of December 2019 was 24.3%. The group also reported a 15% rise in rental income to £24.6m.
