CEIBA Investments - Primed for long-term growth

In QuotedData’s morning briefing 14 April 2021 –

  • CEIBA (CBA) announced the admission to The International Stock Exchange (TISE), Guernsey, of the €25m, 10%, senior unsecured convertible bond issue due for repayment on 31 March 2026. CBA is the largest listed international company solely dedicated to investing in Cuba, with interests in the country’s commercial and tourism real estate sectors.
  • Kistos, the AIM-quoted fund established with the objective of creating value through acquisitions and management of companies or businesses in the energy sector announced a conditional offer for subscription open to private investors via PrimaryBid. Kistos is also conducting a placing and subscription of new ordinary shares with institutional and other investors, as announced on 12 March 2021. Kistos will use the funds raised to form part of the consideration to acquire the entire issued and outstanding share capital of Tulip Oil Netherlands B.V., which was also announced on 12 March 2021.
  • Great Portland Estates has collected 82% of rent collected for the current quarter (April to June) – 90% from office units; 44% from retail/hospitality/leisure sectors; and 91% all other sectors. This is ahead of all four previous quarters at an equivalent date, it said. In the year ended 31 March 2021, the group has collected 84% of rent.

We also have annual results from Merchants Trust, including a 39th consecutive year of dividend growth and new share issuances over 2020 in what was otherwise a really challenging year for the UK equity income sector, and news of NewRiver REIT mulling the listing of its pubs business, and British Land moving into logistics development.
