- AEW UK REIT (AEWU) is managed by AEW UK Investment management LLP, a joint venture between AEW in Europe and Richard Tanner, Rachel McIsaac and Nick Winsley – investing through an entity called Evergreen. AEW in Europe is exercising a call option to buy out Evergreen. The board doesn’t think that this will have an impact on the REIT. AEW UK Investment Management LLP employs 26 individuals covering investment, asset management, operations and strategy. AEW Group is one of the world’s largest real estate managers, with €69.8bn of assets under management as at 31 December 2020.
- Syncona’s (SYNC) NAV has fallen by 7.7% over the second quarter of 2021 to 178.9p. The move was driven by the share prices of Freeline and Achilles Therapeutics. Autolus rose in value. Freeline expects to present clinical data on its Fabry disease trial by the year end. Elsewhere in the portfolio, Gyroscope Therapeutics expects to report interim data from its Phase I/II trial for the treatment of dry age-related macular degeneration (Dry AMD); Achilles expects to publish interim data in its non-small cell lung cancer and melanoma programmes; and Anaveon expects to publish initial data from its Phase I/II trial for selective IL-2 agonist before the end of 2021.
