- Atrato Onsite Energy (ROOF)has announced that it has acquired a ready-to-build, ground mounted 50MW solar project in Richmond, North Yorkshire, which will be constructed under a fully wrapped EPC contract. ROOF will invest a total of £38m, over a 12-month period, to acquire and construct the project, which is targeting energisation in the second quarter of 2024. Once energised, the project is expected to save 11,475 tonnes of CO2e a year and power an equivalent of 17,120 UK homes per annum. ROOF is running a competitive process, engaging with potential corporate and utility offtakers, for the sale and purchase of electricity generated by the project. Harmony Energy Limited, one of the sellers, will continue to support ROOF with the delivery of the project.
- Town Centre Securities (TOWN) has sold part of its development site at Whitehall Riverside, Leeds. The sale is of the residential element of its new masterplan to the build-to-rent residential developer, Glenbrook for £13.0m, which had a book value of £10m as at 31 December 2022. TOWN says that £10.0m of the proceeds from the sale will be used to repay bank borrowings with the balance retained for working capital purposes. This will allow it to bring forward further development on the remainder of the Whitehall Riverside site and to fund further opportunistic investments.
