- The board of Aquila European Renewables (AERI) has announced the appointment of Myrtle Dawes as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September 2023. Myrtle has over 30 years’ experience of the energy sector, both in the UK and overseas. She is CEO of the Net Zero Technology Centre, a non-executive board member of FirstGroup, non-executive board member of the Centre for Process Innovation, an advisory board member for the Association of Black and Minority Engineers and sits on the Technology Leadership Board.
- Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Trust (AWEM) announced its maiden monthly factsheet as of 31 July 2023. The company saw NAV growth of almost 6% for the period while shares fell 1.5%
- AVI Japan Opportunity (AJOT) also provided an update for the month end July 31 2023. The company saw a NAV return of -0.7% while the MSCI Japan Small Cap Index rose 2.8%. The YTD return is 4.1% compared to a 2.5% return for the benchmark.
- LondonMetric Property (LMP) says two solar PV arrays have been installed on its assets in Coventry and Bicester. At Coventry, 275 kWp of solar has been installed on a warehouse let to Aubrey Allen, a national food producer. The system will provide Aubrey Allen with c.25% of its annual energy needs. At Bicester, 302 kWp will be installed later this year on a warehouse let to Greencore Homes, a builder of climate-positive homes. The SmartGrid system, which includes a 100kWh/ 200kWh battery storage system, will be installed and operated by SNRG and is expected to meet c.40% of Greencore’s annual energy needs.
