Digital 9 Infrastructure (DGI9) has announced that after considering feedback received from its shareholder consultation (announced on 17 October 2023), its board is assessing the possibility of divesting the company’s entire stake in the Verne Global group of companies. DGI9’s board says that it has already received indicative offers for the entire position during the competitive process to syndicate a majority stake in Verne Global to a strategic capital partner and that the executed terms are expected to be announced in the fourth quarter of 2023. DGI9’s board says that, compared with syndicating the position, an outright sale would enable DGI9 to accelerate its balance sheet deleveraging, deliver the cash resources necessary for the company and group to strengthen their position, and further maximise shareholder value. It says that a further update will be provided in due course.
