John Laing Environmental gets replacement for David Hardy – The board of John Laing Environmental Assets Group says that it has been notified by John Laing Capital Management (“JLCM”), the investment adviser to the Company, that Chris Holmes will join JLCM in January 2018 to take on the role as joint lead adviser to the company. Chris will work alongside Chris Tanner, who has acted as joint lead adviser to John Laing Environmental since its launch in 2014. This follows David Hardy’s move within JLCM to take up the reins at John Laing Infrastructure, which was announced by John Laing Environmental on 19 May 2017.

Chris Holmes is formerly of Green Investment Group (part of Macquarie Group), where he was Managing Director of Waste and Bioenergy. His background is in project finance banking where he spent 12 years at Dutch bank NIBC heading the UK lending and advisory activities into infrastructure and renewable transactions. He also managed the bank’s initiative to bring institutional investors into infrastructure projects via structured capital market solutions. Prior to NIBC, Chris spent a number of years in project finance advisory at firms including Grant Thornton. Chris is a member of the board of directors of the International Project Finance Association and chair of their UK Council.
