- Baillie Gifford Japan announces changes to management fee structure
Baillie Gifford Japan Trust, which has a tiered fee structure, has announced that, with effect from 1 September 2016, a third stepped tier has been introduced at £250m of net assets. Under the revised arrangements, the annual management fee payable to the Company’s Investment Managers and Secretaries, Baillie Gifford & Co Limited, will be as follows: 0.95% on the first £50m of net assets, 0.65% on the next £200m of net assets and 0.55% on the remaining net assets. Previously, the Company’s annual management fee was calculated at 0.95% on the first £50m of net assets and 0.65% on the remainder. The fees will continue to be calculated and paid on a quarterly basis. As at 30 August 2016, the Company had net assets of approximately £422m.
