AIC Seminars

Description

The AIC runs a programme of training events for advisers and wealth managers who want a better understanding of investment companies, investment trusts and VCTs. These accredited CPD events range from introductory workshops exploring the closed-ended structure of investment companies, to more in-depth seminars with fund managers presenting their strategies. All of the AIC’s training events are free of charge and are accredited by professional bodies, such as the CII and CISI. CPD certificates are available. Events can be booked online, by phone or by email.

Alternatives Seminar – London 10th October

The AIC is presenting this seminar focusing exclusively on alternative asset classes: property, private equity, infrastructure and debt.

The learning objectives of the alternatives seminars are as follows:

  • Identify some of the main opportunities and risks presented by four alternative asset classes (direct property, private equity, infrastructure and illiquid debt) and the roles they might play in portfolios
  • Explain how closed-ended investment companies access these asset classes
  • Understand the specific strategies of four portfolio managers investing in these asset classes

The seminars are hosted by Nick Britton, Head of Intermediary Communications at the AIC, with guest speakers who are experts in each of the alternative asset classes.
