F&C Capital & Income celebrates 20 years of decent performance from Julian Cane

F&C Capital & Income reports an NAV total return for the year ended 30 September 2016 of 16.6%, marginally shy of the benchmark return of 16.8%. The share price total return for the year was also 16.6%. The total dividend for the year is 10.30 pence per share, an increase of 2% on prior year and the 23rd consecutive annual increase. Julian Cane, the fund manager, has been responsible for the fund for 20 years over which time the NAV has risen by 299.1% against a benchmark return of 269.0%.

Unfortunately Julian doesn’t get to comment on the portfolio in the results statement – perhaps there’ll be more in the annual report.
