MCT : Middlefield Canadian Income powered by energy sector
Middlefield Canadian Income, managed by Dean Orrico, Richard Faiella and Andy Nasr, reported its interim figures for the period ended 30 June 2014 today. Its net asset value return of 8.8% was well ahead of the return on the S&P/TSX Composite High Dividend Index which returned 0.6%. The dividend was maintained at 1.25p per quarter.
The energy sector (28.4% of the portfolio at the end of June 2014) was particularly strong (the S&P/TSX Capped Energy Index returned 24.1%).
