Bankers Investment Trust has announced decent figures for the six months ended 30 April 2015 with the fund generating a return on net assets of 13.3% and a return to shareholders of 13.9% as compared to a 9.2% return on the FTSE All-Share Index.
The Chairman’s statement points out that this was a good period for returns with every major market producing positive performance and double digit returns in Europe, Far East and Japan. They made 81% returns on their investments in China A shares during the period, having invested $25m in this area two years ago, and have taken some profits on these holdings.
There is no manager’s statement and no stock level performance attribution in the announcement.
The dividend has been upped from 7.3p to 7.8p.
