The Board of JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust has announced the addition of Amit Mehta to the Company’s investment management team with immediate effect. The Company is currently managed by Omar Negyal and Richard Titherington, who are part of J.P.Morgan Asset Management’s Emerging Markets & Asia Pacific Equities team, which has members in offices across the globe. Mr Titherington, who is relocating to JPMorgan’s Hong Kong office, will continue to manage the portfolio alongside Mr Negyal, while Mr Mehta, who is based in London, will provide additional support to the existing portfolio management team.
Amit Mehta is a portfolio manager responsible for Global Emerging Markets portfolios based in London. An employee since 2011, Amit previously worked at Prusik Investment Management (2009-2011) and Atlantis Investment Management (2007-2009) where he was an Asian equities Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Prior to that he was a Global Emerging Markets Analyst at Aviva Investors (2004-2007) and an Investment Consultant at Mercer Investment Consulting (2000-2004). Amit obtained a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Kings College London. He is a holder of the CFA designation.
